We left for a date night and he didn't tell me where we were going, listening to my new CD in the car and this is my song. He told me to grab my camera, which although not unusual was for a date night, so I did. Then we stopped for a soda at the gas station and he said we weren't going to the town I thought we were. So we drove and again didn't turn to the other town I expected to go to.
So we drove out to the Lake of the Arbuckles, just in time to catch the sunset on the lake. I love our little drives that we take, he takes me to places he knows so I can photograph them. We go on drives and talk, find different or new places. We've never been here together, I've stopped by once a few years back.
What I love about music is I will associate this new album with this night out, and this lake and this experience.
My husband took some shots of the sunset too.
One of him.. it's hard to get those nice couples pictures.
But you can with your cell phone in the car while he was driving. We've been together 18 years now, since I was 18 years old.
There we go... that's the best I could do.
By the time we were done with this we were starving!
We made it back to Sulphur. I've been waiting and watching for the Artesian Hotel to open up for a long time. It was finally open so we walked around the shops and went inside and found the restaurant. This place is gorgeous, it was an all you can eat seafood buffet on Friday night too. Perfect!
I didn't take my camera inside, but this is a beautiful hotel and a great place to eat. It was a perfect evening that I won't forget.
