This concrete elevator in Cordell was built by my grandfather's company, Mayer Osborn Construction of Denver, Colorado. My grandfather, William Osborn, started the company in 1949, after the death of his former boss. His brother in law, Edwin Christoffersen, was foreman on the Cordell job. I just learned that he built the elevator from a newspaper clipping, but I do not know the date. Do you have any idea when the elevator was built? Of course the builders have all passed on by now. We have a blog where we are looking into the history of several elevator builders associated with our families. Can you help us learn more about this elevator? Thanks,
