Warm and peaceful, they're very appealing. Interestingly the purple-hued one is my favorite, although it's not necessarily the "warmest." I guess it appeals to me nostalgically. It brings to mind "purple mountain majesties" from childhood recitations. I also enjoy your quotations. Van Gogh's quotation speaks to me, and Plath's invites an emotional connection. I worked with someone who believed that everyone should read Plath's *The Bell Jar* once a year. However, because I know how her real story ends, I can never bring myself to read it.
